Los Angeles, CA: Bicyclist Hit by Car on Downey Road
Los Angeles, California (March 8, 2018): The California Highway Patrol is overseeing an investigation into a collision between a bike and an SUV in Los Angeles just after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 6, 2018. Only limited details about the incident have been made available while the investigation remains active.
Officials believe the bicyclist was struck by a silver-colored spots utility vehicle at the intersection of Downey Road and Whittier Boulevard. Reports did not indicate whether the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene to speak with authorities. Emergency response crews were dispatched to the scene to assist the bicyclist, but no updates on the victim’s condition have been provided and the severity of the injuries involved is unknown.
