Long Beach, CA – Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash on 2nd Street
Long Beach, California (October 28, 2018) – A woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning in Long Beach. The accident transpired at approximately 1:30 a.m. on 2nd Street near Tivoli Drive. No details concerning the identities of the people involved in the fatal collision have been released.
According to the Long Beach police, a woman was struck by a vehicle that stopped momentarily, then fled the scene. Investigators believe the vehicle that struck the pedestrian was a white Ford F-150. Emergency crews were dispatched to the crash site and transported the injured victim to a local hospital to treat the severe injuries sustained upon impact of the collision. Sadly, the woman succumbed to her injuries and later died in the hospital. The events leading up to this fatal collision were not immediately established.
As of now, investigators are looking into the probable cause of the accident. As more evidence continues to surface, More information will be available to public sources.
