Long Beach, CA: Pedestrian Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash
Long Beach, California (March 2, 2018): A pedestrian was reportedly found unconscious after being struck by a motor vehicle at an intersection in Long Beach on Wednesday night, February 28, 2018. The victim has not yet been identified and very little information has been made available at this time.
Authorities believe the collision occurred just before 9:00 p.m. when a pedestrian walking east on 53rd Street was struck by an unidentified vehicle traveling north on Atlantic Avenue. Officials with the Police Department were the first to arrive at the scene and discovered the pedestrian in an unconscious state. Paramedics were called to assist with transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. No information about the driver of the vehicle has been provided.
