Long Beach, CA – Pedestrian Dies Following Hit-and-Run on Pacific Avenue
Long Beach, CA (July 29, 2018) – A pedestrian in Long Beach died after being struck by a vehicle on Friday evening. The crash took place just after 9:40 pm as the pedestrian was walking along Pacific Avenue.
Emergency crews rushed to the aid of the injured victim, who was critically injured. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where he ultimately passed away due to injuries suffered in the collision. The victim has not been identified at this time. The driver fled the scene before officers could arrive.
Police in Long Beach are investigating this incident are a potential homicide. They believe that the pedestrian may have been intentionally targeted though there is no word on a motive. No further information is available at this time.
