Long Beach, CA – Argument Leads to Deadly Hit-and-Run
Long Beach, CA (September 10, 2018) – A man was killed in a deadly hit-and-run accident that took place on September 9 after an argument. The accident took place on Market Street and Orange Avenue.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old Victor Salvador Herrera of Long Beach. At the time, he had been walking near the intersection when he was involved in an argument with the male driver of a red sedan. Herrera stood in the center median, which is when he was struck by the driver.
Police said that Herrera was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead while there due to his severe injuries.
The motorist, on the other hand, did not stop and instead fled west on Market Street. Police eventually caught up to the suspect, 29-year-old Sokhorn Hor, who was taken into custody and charged with murder.
The incident is still under investigation.
