Lebec, CA – One Person Killed in Fatal Accident on Interstate 5 Freeway Near Smokey Bear Rd.
Lebec, CA (January 20, 2019) – On Saturday, January 19, one person lost their life in a fatal accident that took place on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road.
A Honda crashed for reasons that are not known into the back-end of a tractor-trailer that was in the northbound lanes of the freeway. Around 6:35 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the scene of the accident and attended to the driver of the Honda.
The motorist involved in the accident died at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released due to the fact that police are still trying to notify the next-of-kin.
Investigators are still continuing to work to determine what happened at the accident scene.
