Lathrop, CA – 1 Dead in Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway
Lathrop, CA (September 26, 2019) – On Wednesday, September 25th, at 2:00 p.m., officers from the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a traffic accident that took place on Interstate 5.
According to dispatch logs, a man on a motorcycle collided with another vehicle on the northbound side of the freeway by the Mossdale Road off-ramp.
Preliminary reports stated at least one person died as a result of the crash. At this time is uncertain if the biker or the driver of the automobile that was the victim.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released as police are still attempting to locate the next of kin.
Authorities also noticed a tractor-trailer stopped in the vicinity but the role the big rig played in the crash, if any, has yet to be determined.
