Lakeside, CA – One Person Injured and Two Killed in Head-on Collision
Lakeside, CA (October 2, 2018) – In Lakeside, one person was injured and two people were killed in a head-on collision. The accident happened last Thursday, September 27 on Wildcat Canyon Road.
At the time of the accident, another driver suddenly veered into the path of a 43-year-old woman and the vehicles crashed head-on. Police responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m. The driver who crashed into the woman’s vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Ashley Kay. She had been traveling at high speeds at the time of the collision.
Kay and her passenger, 53-year-old Gregorio Hernandez, were thrown from the vehicle and died. Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene while Kay was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The 43-year-old woman was seriously injured and hospitalized as a result.
Police continue to investigate.
