Lake County, CA – Man Hit and Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Accident
Lake County, CA (January 9, 2019) – In Lake County, a man was seriously injured after a pedestrian accident that took place along Highway 53 in Lower Lake. The accident caused injuries to 53-year-old Michael Koroma.
Koroma stopped his 2006 Montero in the northbound lane of Highway 53 for reasons that are unknown. He then exited his vehicle.
Three other vehicles were headed north and crashed into one another. One of those vehicles, a 2012 Fusion, braked in an attempt to avoid the vehicle but was rear-ended. This caused the Fusion to push forward and strike Koroma, who had exited his SUV at the time.
Koroma was flown to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries but is expected to make a recovery.
The accident remains under investigation.
