La Mirada, CA – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Leads to Injuries
La Mirada, CA (February 20, 2019) – Police reported that both an adult and child were injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that took place on Escalona Road. The accident took place near an elementary school in La Mirada.
The accident happened around 1:20 p.m. in the 15000 block of Escalona Road near their local elementary school. Police and paramedics immediately responded to the accident.
Paramedics rushed to help the pedestrians who were seriously injured at the scene of the accident. They did not mention whether or not the child was a student at the school.
Police say that the driver immediately fled the scene without checking on the well-being of those involved. There is no current description of the driver’s vehicle; however, police continue to investigate.
