Kings County, CA: Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 198
Kings County, California (February 21, 2018): The California Highway Patrol is investigating a serious motor vehicle crash on Highway 198 in Hanford early Sunday morning, February 18, 2018. Information about the accident continues to be limited while the investigation remains ongoing.
The crash is believed to have occurred just before 2:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 198, near the 12th Avenue on-ramp, when a vehicle that was swerving between lanes at a high rate of speed ran into the center divider and crashed into another vehicle on the road. At least one person involved had to be extricated from a vehicle and airlifted to hospital. The total number of individuals involved or injured in the accident, and the severity of any injuries sustained, remain unknown.
