Huntington Beach, CA – Fatal Three-Car Crash at Garden Ave & Magnolia St

Huntington Beach, CA (August 24, 2023) – On Wednesday, a fatal three-car accident occurred in Huntington Beach.

According to Huntington Beach Police Department Public Information Officer Jessica Cuchilla, at roughly 10:30 a.m., officers arrived at the vicinity of Garfield Avenue and Magnolia Street in response to an accident involving a black Nissan Sentra, a white BMW 5 series, and a white Ford Ranger.

The BMW’s driver was heading east on Garfield Avenue past Magnolia Street when he or she collided with a Nissan that had just pulled out from a parking lot on the south side of the road, as reported by the police.

Huntington Beach, CA - Fatal Three-Car Crash at Garden Ave & Magnolia StCuchilla said that the BMW crashed into the Ford after it had stopped in the westbound lane of Garfield Avenue.

Both of the Nissan’s passengers, a 59-year-old woman from Huntington Beach and a man, were rushed to the hospital, where they remained in serious condition until the woman passed away.

Both the BMW driver, a 40-year-old woman from Huntington Beach, and the Ford driver, a 42-year-old male from Norwalk, were taken to the hospital and treated before being sent home.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, though an investigation is still ongoing.
