Huntington Beach, CA – 51 Year Old Man Killed in Suspected DUI Crash
Huntington Beach, CA (August 19, 2018) – A suspected DUI crash in Huntington Beach on Friday led to the death of one person. According to reports, a 51 year old man was traveling westbound near the intersection of Warner Avenue and Rotterdam Lane. The man’s vehicle was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche, also traveling westbound.
The 51 year old suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed to administer emergency medical care. The man was transported to UCI Medical Center. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead.
Huntington Beach police conducted an investigation into the crash. The investigation led to the Avalanche driver being charged with DUI due to suspected alcohol impairment. The driver has been identified only as a 54 year old man. A police investigation into this crash remains ongoing.
