Hesperia, CA – One Person Loses Life in Fatal Pedestrian Crash
Hesperia, CA (November 9, 2018) – In Hesperia, one person lost their life in a fatal pedestrian crash at Eucalyptus Street and Hesperia Road, according to police. The woman was identified as somebody who had five children and many grandchildren, Thea Fracasse Payne.
Payne was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning, November 7 around 1:19 a.m. She was found lying in the center lane of Hesperia Road. Police say she lost her life at the scene of the accident.
The woman had been walking in the southbound lane of the roadway when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle heading in the same direction as her. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene to speak with police.
As of now, police are still investigating the accident.
