Serious Car Accidents in California
We hope that the drivers involved in this crash both have a full recovery from their serious injuries.
From the initial reports, it certainly appears as though the Scion driver initiated this accident and that they will be held responsible for resulting injuries to the Camry driver. Unsafe passing is a form of negligence that can lead to legal liability for the perpetrator.
In California, when a person is hurt due to another person’s negligence, then the injured victim has a claim for personal injury. A personal injury claim includes the right to recover for medical treatment as well as lost wages and pain and suffering. The Camry driver will have to decide whether to pursue this claim against the other driver.
