Hayward, CA – Motorcycle Collision on 880 Freeway Ends in Injuries

Hayward, CA (August 30, 2018) – A motorcycle collision took place on the 880 Freeway that ended in injuries. Police responded to the incident on the Whipple Road on-ramp on Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that an unidentified man was riding a motorcycle on the northbound side of the freeway. He was suddenly struck by a Mercedes. The impact was so forceful that the rider was thrown from the motorcycle.

First responders said that, when they arrived at the accident scene, the motorcyclist was lying in the roadway. His name and condition have not yet been released.

The whereabouts of the Mercedes driver are not known at this time. Police continue to investigate the incident.
