Fresno, CA – Woman Killed and Others Injured in Fatal Car Crash
Fresno, CA (February 28, 2019) – One woman lost her life and two other people were badly injured in a fatal car crash that took place on Wednesday night involving a driver in a vehicle pursuit. The suspect had been fleeing police and ran through two red lights when the accident took place, causing her to T-bone a vehicle.
The crash took place at the intersection of Fresno Street and Princeton Avenue. A woman in her 50s was killed in the accident. A 6-year-old child suffered minor injuries and two others in the vehicle were critically injured.
Police say that the at-fault driver, a woman in her 20s, committed a robbery and they had been attempting to pull her over when she refused to stop.
Paramedics responded to the scene of the accident to find the four victims and transported to various hospitals for treatment. The woman tragically lost her life at the hospital.
The suspect is in critical condition at the hospital but is expected to survive. She now faces charges including hit-and-run and manslaughter.
