Fresno, CA – Fatal Hit-and-Run at Intersection of W. American Ave and S. Hughes Ave
Fresno, CA (January 14, 2019) – Information has been released that a woman was fatally injured in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Friday, January 11th.
Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident around 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of West American Avenue and South Hughes Ave. The victim was identified only as a 53-year-old woman who had been riding her bicycle across the intersection. She was struck by a vehicle at the intersection who then fled the scene.
The woman, according to police, was pronounced dead at the scene when the fire department and paramedics arrived at the scene. She suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
At this time, police said that no arrests have been made and the suspect remains at-large. Police do, however, believe that the vehicle was a maroon SUV.
