Fresno County, CA: Fatal Head-On Collision in Parlier

Fresno County, California (March 5, 2018): The California Highway Patrol is investigating a motor vehicle crash in Parlier, CA late Friday afternoon, March 2, 2018, that left one dead and another seriously injured. Information about the accident is limited while the investigation remains open and ongoing.

Authorities believe the collision occurred just after 5:00 p.m. near Manning Avenue and Bethel Avenue in Parlier, CA when a Honda Fit veered into a lane of oncoming traffic for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Honda CR-V. The 53-year-old driver of the Honda Fit was pronounced dead at the scene and the 74-year-old driver of the Honda CR-V was transported from the scene to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries described as “serious.” Neither driver has been identified and no additional details have been provided at this time.
