Fresno, CA – School Bus Accident Involving Motor Vehicle
Fresno, CA (September 11, 2018) – A school bus accident took place in Fresno on Monday afternoon, September 10. The accident took place around 3:45 p.m. and involved the bus and another vehicle.
Police responded to the area of Shaw and Harrison avenues. They found that a Fresno Unified school bus had been carrying elementary students and was involved in a collision with a sedan near the intersection.
Injuries were reported but, at this time, we do not know how many were hurt. Police spoke to a 9-year-old identified as Jacob Romero, who told them that he felt a big bump when the impact occurred. Responding paramedics took care of all the children involved. Their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.
About 45 minutes after the accident, a replacement bus was sent to the scene to pick up the children and return them home.
