Fresno, CA: Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash
Fresno, California (February 20, 2018): A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on McKinley Avenue in Fresno early Sunday night, February 18, 2018. The victim has not yet been identified and very little information about the collision has been made available at this time.
Authorities first received reports of a man lying injured on the road just after 8:00 p.m. and emergency responders were dispatched to the accident scene on McKinley Avenue, near Brawley Avenue and Highway 99. The victim was transported by emergency services to Community Regional Medical Center where he was ultimately pronounced dead.
The police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. They believe the suspect may have been driving a silver 1997 5 Series BMW with a missing passenger side mirror. Anyone with information should contact the police as soon as possible.
