Hit-and-Run Accidents in Fresno
According to California law, a hit-and-run accident takes place anytime a driver is involved in an accident with another car, a pedestrian, a cyclist, or an object, and then flees the scene having made no effort to identify themselves, or providing necessary aid to victims who might be in desperate need of help.
It makes no difference whether or not the absconding driver is culpable for the accident, fleeing the scene is still a criminal act. If you have been the victim of a hit-and-run accident, the first thing you should do is call the police so that they can immediately open an investigation that will help identify and apprehend the cowardly driver.
