The victim has since been identified as Gavin Gladding. Police say that he was an elementary school administrator in Clovis.
Gladding had been jogging on the shoulder of Friant Road when a vehicle that was headed west suddenly veered over and struck him on the side of the road. He was immediately taken to the Community Regional Medical Center where he later died. The collision happened around 6 in the morning.

Far too often, hit-and-run accidents in California lead to fatalities in those who never expected to become involved in an accident that day. If a driver struck your loved one and they have lost their life in a serious accident, you have many rights. We extend our sincerest condolences to you during this difficult time.
Leaving the scene of an accident is a serious crime that is punishable by law, especially if somebody tragically lost their life. The surviving family will have the right to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the party who is found to be at-fault if police are able to identify them, which means that your entire case will open up. You have many legal rights to obtain the compensation you deserve for lost wages, medical bill repayments, loss of future income, funeral bills, and more.
