Fresno, CA – Bicyclist Hurt in Thursday Crash With Vehicle
Fresno, CA (August 9, 2018) – A bicyclist suffered injuries after being struck from behind on Thursday. Around 9:25 pm, the bicyclist was riding on Jensen Avenue. At that time, a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Shirley Coon collided with the rear of the bicycle. The bicyclist was also towing a trailer when he was struck. Coon was driving a 2010 Mazda.
The bicyclist suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. There is no update on their condition at this time.
Shirley Coon stayed at the scene to cooperate with CHP authorities. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing. No charges have been issued at this time.
