Fremont, CA – Bus Driver Receives Injuries in Bus Accident
Fremont, CA (October 11, 2018) – Police say that a bus driver was injured in a Fremont bus accident that took place on Wednesday, October 10 on Highway 84. The accident took place near a toll plaza.
Police responded to the accident around 2 p.m., just west of Dumbarton Bridge. An unmarked charter bus pulled over to the shoulder of Highway 84 when it was rear-ended by a truck. The truck was traveling over the speed limit at the time when it struck the bus in the Number 3 lane.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the drivers of both the bus and the truck. The two patients were transported to the Kaiser Permanente in Fremont to be treated for their injuries. At the time of the accident, it was reported that there were no passengers on board.
Authorities are still investigating at this time.
