Forestville, CA – DUI Car Accident Leads To Injury
Forestville, CA (December 11, 2018) – According to initial reports, a car accident early Sunday morning involving a drunk driver along Highway 116 resulted in serious injury to the passenger of the vehicle. The injured passenger has since been identified by the police as 40-year-old Caldonia Donovan, of Santa Rosa.
A spokesman for the California Highway Patrol reported that 36-year-old Spencer Tuley of Guerneville was driving a 1989 Toyota pickup east on Highway 116 when he apparently lost control of his vehicle. The truck then veered off of the roadway and plunged a good 15 to 20 feet down where it smashed into a dry creek bed. The impact ejected both Donovan and Tuley from the vehicle. The accident was discovered and reported around 8:00 on Sunday morning, roughly five hours after it occurred. Forestville Fire department officials, as well as paramedics, arrived quickly on the scene where they found that both parties were in need of serious medical treatment. Tuley suffered from cuts to his face and a broken wrist, ankle and arm. Donovan sustained cuts to her face, an eye injury and a possible broken hip and leg. Both parties were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. They are currently listed in fair condition.
Officers on the scene of the accident believed that Tuley had been operating his truck under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested before he left the hospital.
