Fairfield, CA – Two Police Officers Injured in Highway 12 Accident
Fairfield, CA (September 21, 2018) – Two police officers from the Sacramento Police Department received serious injuries in a crash that happened on Highway 12 on September 20.
The accident took place in the afternoon around 3 p.m. The California Highway Patrol investigated and found that an unmarked police car rear-ended another unmarked police vehicle on the highway. This caused them to become involved in a chain-reaction crash.
When police arrived at the scene of the accident, they found that the on-duty police officers suffered moderately serious injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
At this time, their names and conditions have not been released. Luckily, the other drivers involved did not receive injuries.
Police continue to investigate at this time.
