Encanto, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Imperial Avenue
Encanto, California (November 4, 2018) – The San Diego Police Department confirmed a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Encanto on Saturday evening. The collision transpired at approximately 6:30 pm on November 3rd in the area of Imperial Avenue and Woodman Street. At this time, details identifying the pedestrian have not been 
revealed.
Per the initial report, a pedestrian was on the roadway between the streets of Imperial Avenue and Woodman Street when an oncoming vehicle suddenly struck the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop after the crash and fled the scene of the accident. Shortly after the collision took place emergency crews rushed to the aid of the injured pedestrian and performed CPR in an attempt to revive the unidentified victim. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident and died at the scene of the crash. Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver that was involved in this tragic accident.
The San Diego Police have assumed authority over this investigation and will update the public with more information when more evidence comes to the surface.
