East Contra Costa, CA – One Killed in Fatal DUI Accident
East Contra Costa, CA (October 10, 2018) – On October 7, one person was killed and another was injured in a fatal DUI accident. The accident happened at the intersection of Brentwood Boulevard.
At the time, a 25-year-old man from Brentwood was speeding when he suddenly crashed his station wagon into a signal pole. The vehicle completely split in half.
The passenger was ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash. He suffered immediate fatal trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver only suffered minor injuries and authorities determined that he had been drinking when the crash occurred.
The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and on vehicular manslaughter charges.
