East Bakersfield, CA – Patrol Car Accident Causes Injuries in One
East Bakersfield, CA (September 9, 2018) – One person received serious injuries in a patrol car accident in Bakersfield. The accident took place on September 8 around 3 p.m. on Monterey and Tulare streets.
At the time, a police car was responding to a call within the area of the 1300 block of Niles Street. It suddenly collided with a white pickup truck at an intersection. The impact was so forceful that it caused the patrol car to strike another vehicle parked in that area. Emergency crews responded to the scene soon after.
The driver of the pickup truck was immediately taken to the hospital for injuries, but their name and condition has not yet been released. Authorities said that two officers also experienced pain following the incident.
At this time, the cause of the accident is still being investigated.
