Los Angeles Pedestrian Accidents
We are saddened to hear of this tragic incident involving Beth O’Hara. At this time, it appears as though Adrian Villalobos acted negligently in O’Hara’s death.
Unfortunately, this death could have been prevented. Many pedestrian accidents are preventable if vehicle drivers take some basic safety precautions, including following traffic laws, stopping at crosswalks and driving the speed limit. Avoiding reckless, distracted and impaired driving also reduces the risk of a pedestrian accident.
Beth O’Hara’s family will now have to decide whether to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against Villalobos. In Los Angeles, where a person dies due to the negligence of another, the deceased person’s family may bring a wrongful death claim. Wrongful death lawsuits must typically be filed within 2 years of the date of death.
