Costa Mesa, CA – Motorcycle Hit-and-Run at Victoria Street
Costa Mesa, CA (August 30, 2018) – A motorcycle hit-and-run accident took place at Victoria Street in Costa Mesa on Tuesday night, which led to one hospitalization around 9:05 p.m.
Police said that an unidentified vehicle was traveling down Victoria Street when it struck a motorcycle just as it was coming upon the intersection. Police said that they are not sure what caused the driver to strike the motorcycle and keep going.
Paramedics were called into the scene and attended to the rider, who was left with a variety of injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital and listed in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle, however, did not stop. Good Samaritans followed the vehicle and both the driver and passenger fled on foot.
Police confirmed that one person has since been taken into custody and the investigation into the matter continues.
