Corona, CA – Fatal Car Accident Takes Place at Intersection
Corona, CA (August 31, 2018) – One person was killed and another received serious injuries following a fatal car accident in Corona. Police confirmed it took place at a local intersection on Thursday.
Police responded to the incident around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Magnolia and Santana Way. A man had been driving his Jeep and traveling north onto Magnolia Avenue when he slammed the rear-end of a Honda Accord. The Accord had been stopped at a red light.
The collision was so forceful that the Honda was sent into the intersection, where it struck a Volkswagen Jetta.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they took the driver of the Jeep to the Riverside Community Hospital. The male driver of the Honda was taken to the Corona Regional Hospital where he died of his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
The incident is still under investigation by police.
