Corona, CA – Semi-Truck Causes Chain Reaction Crash
Corona, CA (July 25, 2018) – A semi-truck collision on the 91 West Freeway triggered a chain reaction accident Tuesday morning. At approximately 6:14 am, a blue semi-truck rear ended a GMC pickup. The force of the collision then caused the GMC to collide with the car directly in front. Eventually, six vehicles were affected following the initial impact, including a gray pickup, a black sedan and two other vehicles.
The GMC truck driver did suffer neck and back injuries from the collision and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. California Highway Patrol along with at least two fire department units responded to the crash. Traffic was severely affected by the crash as officials investigated at the scene. The crash caused the exit at Green River Road to be shut down while the investigation remained ongoing. Authorities remained on scene for over three hours.
There is no word on whether the other motorists suffered injuries or whether the truck driver will be charged for causing the crash. No additional information is available at this time.
