Corona, CA – One Dead, One Hurt in I-15 Accident at Cajalco Rd

Corona, CA (August 31, 2023) – On Thursday, a two-car accident on Interstate 15 near Corona claimed the life of one person and left another in serious condition.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred on southbound I-15 at Cajalco Road at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday. The agency said that a pickup truck and a car collided at the Cajalco exit, forcing the vehicle to flip and eject at least one of its passengers.

Unnamed witnesses stopped to help the victim until paramedics from the Corona Fire Department arrived less than 10 minutes later.

The CHP reports that paramedics performed CPR, but the subject was declared dead at the site just after 1:00 p.m.

The Traffic Division of the Corona Police Department is investigating the incident.
