Citrus Heights, CA – Motorcyclist Killed on I-80
Citrus Heights, CA (October 25, 2019) – A collision between a motorcycle, a car, and a truck on Tuesday, October 22nd on Interstate 80 resulted in the death of 38-year-old Leo Eldon Morris.
The California Highway Patrol stated that the Los Angeles resident was riding his 2009 Kawasaki along I-80 when he crashed into the back of a 2012 Ford Fusion. The impact knocked Morris off his bike and caused him to slide into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler.
The truck collided with Morris and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident was reported at 4:30 a.m. by the Antelope truck scales.
The Citrus Heights woman, 58, who was driving the Ford and the truck driver, 64, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Nobody else was injured in the accident.
