Cathedral City, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Takes One Life
Cathedral City, CA (August 30, 2018) – A fatal pedestrian accident took place in Cathedral City along Ramon Road. The incident took place on Saturday and the pedestrian has been identified.
Police say that 42-year-old Ezequiel Vazquez-Arguelles died on August 26 around 9:10 p.m. due to the fatal accident.
At the time, the pedestrian had been walking north on Ramon Road when he was suddenly struck by the vehicle. The car was traveling east when it struck the victim.
Authorities arrived at the scene and Vazquez-Arguelles was pronounced dead before he could be taken to the hospital. The driver who struck with him pulled over to check on the pedestrian and speak with police. He did not receive injuries.
At this time, police continue to investigate the incident.
