Calaveras County, CA: Motorcycle Crash in Valley Springs
Calaveras County, California (March 13, 2018): Authorities are conducting an active investigation into a motor vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a truck at an intersection in Spring Valley, CA early yesterday afternoon, Monday, March 12, 2018. The motorcyclist has not been identified and only limited information has been made available while the investigation remains ongoing.
Officials first received reports of the collision just before 2:00 p.m. and emergency crews were dispatched to the accident location at the intersection of Rippon Road and Cane Lane. The motorcyclist was reportedly traveling west on a Yamaha R1 when he was struck by a 2005 GMC Sierra truck that was proceeding through the intersection. The motorcyclist was transported to Lodi Memorial Hospital with injuries described as moderate in severity. No information about the condition of the truck driver, 42-year-old Pual Wallace, was released and no additional details have been provided at this time.
