Cajon Pass, CA – Driver Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision
Cajon Pass, CA (October 13, 2018) – A driver was seriously injured in a severe head-on collision that took place along Highway 138 on Wednesday afternoon, October 10. The victim has since been identified as 42-year-old Benjamin Christensen.
At the time, police said that Christensen had been driving a Toyota west on Highway 138 when he was struck head-on by a driver in a Subaru. The driver had been traveling 65 mph when, for reasons that are not yet known, the driver crossed into the other lane and struck the Toyota.
Christensen was immediately taken to the hospital in serious condition, but his updated condition is not known at this time. The motorist in the Subaru, however, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. He is a 42-year-old resident of Lake Arrowhead.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
