Cajon Pass, CA – 61-Year-Old Killed in Highway 138 Accident
Cajon Pass, CA (September 28, 2018) – Police say that one person was killed in a serious Highway 138 accident near the Cajon Junction Pass. The accident happened on Thursday, September 27.
The accident took place around 8:20 a.m. about a mile away from the Interstate 15 Freeway. The California Highway Patrol said that a Toyota Camry and an SUV collided head-on in the westbound lanes of Highway 138.
Officials responded to the scene of the accident and two people had to be extricated from the vehicle. Four people were injured at the time of the accident.
Three individuals were taken by ambulance to the hospital while one person was airlifted. One person, 61-year-old Betty Margaret Estrada, was taken to the hospital but died while she was there. No other names of victims have been released at this time.
The investigation into the crash continues at this time.
