Boyle Heights, CA – Woman Injured in Metrolink Train Accident on Olympic Blvd
Boyle Heights, CA (August 4, 2023) – Officials with the Los Angeles Fire Department report that a pedestrian was struck by a Metrolink train this evening.
According to an LAFD alert released Friday evening, the incident occurred in the 2500 block of East Olympic Boulevard at 6:00 p.m.
The accident involved a Metrolink Riverside train, the company has confirmed. The agency said that the track between Union Station and the Montebello/Commerce station would be suspended until further notice.
The victim, a 55-year-old woman, was hospitalized in an unknown condition. No further details have been provided, but the accident investigation is still active.
