Bakersfield, CA – Truck Accident Leads to Injuries in Driver
Bakersfield, CA (September 4, 2018) – Two people received injuries in a DUI-related truck accident. The accident happened on Friday around 1 a.m. near Pachecho Road on Highway 99.
Police said that Cristian Lopez had been driving southbound when he suddenly swerved into the concrete divider. He lost control of his vehicle, which then slammed into a semi-truck that was traveling southbound as well.
The operator of the semi-truck received injuries as a result. Authorities took Lopez to the Kern Medical Center for treatment and discovered that he had been intoxicated at the time of the collision.
He was arrested in relation to the accident.

At this time, police continue to investigate the accident to help gain a better understanding of how the incident took place. In this case, it is almost certain that Lopez will be held fully liable for the accident, as he was intoxicated at the time.
