Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident
California laws are very strict when it comes to pedestrians and how drivers must abide by the law, as pedestrians are some of the most vulnerable victims on our roadways. When drivers are aware that pedestrians could be close, they have to exercise a duty of care to ensure the safety of all those on the roadways.
Investigators continue to piece together the details of this case. We wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to the party who was seriously injured in this accident and hope that he will be able to move forward and recover at this time.
Pedestrian accidents are growing on California roadways. When these accidents take place, there is always a chance for serious injuries, as motor vehicles are thousands of pounds heavier than pedestrians, which means that the results can be catastrophic in nature. Police will then take a look at the actions of the driver to determine whether or not they were driving recklessly at the time. If they were speeding, drunk driving, distracted driving, or a variety of other serious actions, they could be held liable during this time.
