Los Angeles Pedestrian Accidents
A pedestrian is vulnerable at all times. In most cases, pedestrians cross busy streets and walk down sidewalks with the assumption that motorists will use reasonable care and caution to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
Sometimes, motorists fail to drive safely which leads to catastrophic results. Some examples of negligence leading to pedestrian accidents include:
- Failure to stop at crosswalks or stop signs
- Distracted driving
- Reckless driving
If any one of of these events occur, the risk of an auto-pedestrian accident greatly increases. Pedestrians should always be aware of their surroundings and be prepare take defensive maneuvers to avoid a collision if possible.
