Bakersfield, CA – Victims Hurt in Police Pursuit, Vehicle Crash at Niles St & Fairfax Rd
Bakersfield, CA (August 6, 2023) – On Friday evening, Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were pursuing a suspect before the chase ended in a crash with injuries.
KCSO deputies allegedly pursued the suspect before he collided with another vehicle and was apprehended. Just before 9:30 p.m., the motorist crashed into a second driver near the corner of Niles Street and Fairfax Road.
According to eyewitnesses, both vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the head-on crash. EMTs responded and treated the injured victims, though the other driver’s condition remains unknown.
The KCSO is handling the ongoing investigation.
