Bakersfield, CA – SUV vs Motorcycle on Wible Rd, 1 Injured
Bakersfield, CA (October 16. 2018) – A little before 10:30 on Monday night the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a call for a traffic accident between an SUV and a motorcycle on the 2200 block of Wible Road. One man involved in the crash had sustained major injuries.
Investigators reported that cyclist was on Wible Road heading north when an SUV heading in the opposite direction failed to yield the right-of-way to the oncoming bike. The occupant of the motorcycle was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for major injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition.
Drugs and alcohol were ruled out as a factor for the driver of the SUV. Neither of the driver’s names have been released to the public at this time as the investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
