Bakersfield, CA – Norma Lopez and Rosa Avila Hurt in Crash Thursday
Bakersfield, CA (August 9, 2018) – A crash on Thursday in Bakersfield left two occupants of the same car with injuries. The crash took place around 5:30 am at Wheeler Ridge Road and Valpredo Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Octavio Zacarias collided with a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Rosa Avila at the intersection. Avila suffered minor injuries in the crash while a passenger, 45-year-old Norma Lopez, was seriously hurt.
Both Lopez and Avila were taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment. There is no update on their conditions at this time. California Highway Patrol continues to look into this crash. At this time, there is no word on whether charges will be issued. No further information is available.
