Bakersfield, CA – 18-Year-Old Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Haley Street
Bakersfield, CA (April 3, 2019) – 18-year-old Jason Quinn Kelly was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident that took place in the 3200 block of Haley Street.
The accident, according to police, took place around 8:50 p.m. near the Bakersfield College. At the time, Kelly was allegedly walking across the street around the area of a marked crosswalk. He was suddenly struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Kelly suffered major injuries in the accident. The driver pulled off to the side of the road and called 911; however, when paramedics arrived, Kelly was tragically pronounced deceased.
Liability is still being determined at this time while police continue to investigate the accident.
