Apple Valley, CA – One Person Killed in Serious Scooter Accident
Apple Valley, CA (September 30, 2018) – In Apple Valley, a serious scooter accident took place on Saturday morning, September 29, that took the life of a 41-year-old victim, Kimsan Mao.
Mao had been riding his GTS 300 Vespa scooter at the time in the 20000 block of Bear Valley Road when he was suddenly struck by a G&M Towing and Recovery tow truck. Police are still trying to determine how and why this accident occurred.
Mao was trying to turn off on Bear Valley Road when he was struck around 1:18 a.m. Mao was immediately ejected from his scooter and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the tow truck did not receive injuries and cooperated with police following the accident. Police continue to investigate at this time.
