Angels Camp, CA – 14-Year-Old Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident
Angels Camp, CA (January 11, 2019) – Yesterday morning, police say that a 14-year-old girl was injured in a serious hit-and-run accident around 8 a.m. east of Alpine Street. The accident took place close to the area of the Mark Twain Elementary School.
The 14-year-old girl was walking to school when for reasons unknown, she was sideswiped by a vehicle. Paramedics came to the scene of the accident and found that the young victim had been injured. Luckily, she is expected to recover from her injuries in the pedestrian accident.
Witnesses spoke with police and said that a female driver had struck the victim and got out of the vehicle to make sure she was okay. When she saw that she was, she got back in her vehicle and drove away.
Police are saying that the suspect was in a dark-colored sedan and is believed to be around 5 feet, 10 inches tall and somewhere around 125 pounds. The accident is still under investigation as a hit-and-run.
